Tour Overview

A typical Hermanus Whale Watching Day Tour begins with collection from your hotel or guesthouse in Cape Town. Travelling via Gordon's Bay, guests enjoy the spectacular Sir Clarence Drive coastal route before arriving at Betty's Bay, where we visit the famous Stony Point Penguin Colony.

From Betty's Bay we continue to Hermanus, internationally recognised as one of the best land-based whale watching destinations in the world. Guests may choose to join the optional Boat Based Whale Watching Trip or spend time exploring Hermanus town centre and the famous Cliff Path.

Following the whale watching experience, guests enjoy lunch overlooking Walker Bay before taking a leisurely walk along the Hermanus Cliff Path, where Southern Right Whales are often spotted remarkably close to shore. The tour concludes with a scenic return journey to Cape Town.
